This term, Fireflies class have been interested in learning about new growth. We have been watering the daffodils in our planter and thought it would be an excellent opportunity to explore painting some flowers (as we always enjoy painting in our class!)
We have loved our tinker trays. While exploring the loose parts, we are learning about sorting, matching, using mathematical language, developing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, as well as developing our turn-taking skills.
We have also been thinking about the fact that spring is on its way, talking and learning about warmer weather, growing flowers, and Easter coming up. Check out our lovely springtime builder’s tray!
To promote imaginative play, cooperative play and learning new language we have been exploring the doctor’s equipment in the home corner and the bugs in the sand pit outside. We had great fun playing chase games with the bugs!
