Bristol Community Learning has a number of courses and events coming up in September and beyond. You can find more information on their website. Bristol Community Learning is part of Bristol City Council’s Employment, Skills and Learning team. They set up a wide range of courses in community venues across Bristol. All their courses are aimed at adults with few or no qualifications and unemployed adults looking for work.
321 Go, You’ve Got This (Mindfulness & Maths)
This is a face-to-face 14-week classroom-based course, starting on 11th September, and aims to cover three main elements:
- Wellbeing – To support the learner to combat anxiety around maths through mindfulness and breathing techniques.
- Fun – Exploring ways to have fun and enjoyment with maths. Through crafts, cooking, game playing etc.
- Opportunities – To have opportunities to become familiar with digital technology and online resources to develop useful skills to prepare for progression onto functional skills maths courses.
