We have been informed that a couple of children in our nursery have head lice. Head lice are small insects that live on the scalp and can be spread by head-to-head contact.

They are not a sign of poor hygiene and can affect anyone.

We ask you to check your child’s hair regularly for any signs of head lice or nits (eggs). You can do this by using a fine-toothed comb on wet hair and looking for any live lice or white or brown eggs attached to the hair. If you find any, please treat your child as soon as possible.

You can find more information on the NHS website.
