As you may already be aware, strike action is planned to take place on Thursday 27th April and Tuesday 2nd May.

As you will understand the scale of the strike and the impact it has on many of our staff means we have had to carefully consider our provision on strike day.

We have completed a thorough risk assessment to determine whether we could safely open on these dates, and, following this, we will be closing:

Thursday, 27th April: Woodpeckers and Butterflies closed to all children.

Tuesday, 2nd May: Butterflies, Squirrels and Woodpeckers closed to all children.

Arrangements for Future Strike Dates

We will repeat our risk assessment in relation to any future strikes. We may know more at that stage, or the position may have changed, so different arrangements may apply. We will therefore communicate arrangements for future dates separately.

We understand you may be frustrated about further disruption to your child’s education. There will be different points of view across our school community, and please be reassured that none of our staff have taken this action lightly. All our staff remain committed to supporting our families and working within our school. We ask that you are respectful and understanding of these difficult decisions.

Many thanks for your patience and understanding. If the strike is called off, school will be open as normal.

Please see the letter from our Head Teacher, Natascha, for full details.
